Condition: Juvenile too small to survive the Winter
On arrival to Brackley HogWatch rescue centre he was clearly underweight and would not have survived the winter without human intervention. Faecal samples were sent for analysis, which identified Liver Fluke and a type of lungworm. These internal parasites would prevent/hinder recovery so injections for each were necessary. A further faecal analysis revealed that he was free from parasites and his recovery was swift following the treatments. This hedgehog was constantly monitored using CCTV, throughout the winter and was released back into the Lower Humphries Drive area of Brackley.
